Consumer Outreach
PennAg participates in numerous consumer outreach efforts
to inform the public about production agriculture in Pennsylvania.
A few examples of these efforts throughout 2010 include:


Ag Day, hosted by Punxsutawney Area School District


Ag Progress Days, hosted by Penn State University


Farm Show in October - October Pork Month Social,
along with other members of the Farm Show food court

Other activities:
  American Egg Board promotions at various minor
      league baseball games
  Family Farm Days, hosted by Oregon Dairy and the 
      Lancaster Chamber of Commerce
  Farm City Day, hosted by the Pennsylvania Department
      of Agriculture
  Good Taste! Pittsburgh food show and egg promotion
  Pennsylvania Farm Show
 

Ag Night at the Lancaster Barnstormers Baseball Game,
hosted by the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce


Farm Show in June - Milk Shake Social,
along with the PA Dairymen's Association


Penn State Blue & White Game Pork Promotion,
hosted by the PA Pork Producers Council

PennAg also administers the Pennsylvania Checkoff
funds for American Egg Board and National Pork Board.
This arrangement enables PennAg to handle promotional
opportunities for the egg and pork industries.
